Section 1) DIVISIONS/GROUPS
1-a)
What Bracket am I required to register in?
LEVEL 1 - LOCAL EVENTS:
For the Kick It 3v3 Soccer Tour, the age divisions/age requirements are as follows - listed in 1-b (each division listed has separate divisions for Male and Female, youth ages 8-19 also have separate divisions for Gold and Silver). Teams should register into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team, even if players span more than one age group (with an exception for players over 30). We discourage coed teams in the Youth divisions. If you must have a mixed gender team, your team will be placed in the male division.
LEVEL 2 - REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENTS:
For the Regional Championships Events, all teams for each age division will play the first round of Pool Play games as one division. There will not be separate divisions for Gold and Silver. After the first round of Pool Play Games, teams will be seeded into Gold / Silver playoff brackets based on record during pool play games. All teams in the Gold Bracket will qualify for the World Championships Event, the top 6 teams in the Silver Bracket will also qualify for the World Championships Event.
LEVEL 3 - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT:
For the World Championships Event at ESPN's Wide World of Sports, the format will be similar to the format played at the Regional Championships Events. There will not be separate divisions for Gold and Silver. After the first round of Pool Play Games, teams will be seeded into Gold / Silver playoff brackets based on record during pool play games.
1-b) What is the
2009 Kick It 3v3 Soccer (Division / Group Breakdown)
To Download a copy of the Division Breakdown, Click Here
1-c)
How are the divisions at LEVEL 1 LOCAL EVENTS broken up?
Teams will register into divisions based upon age, gender and playing experience. Any team or player determined by the Tournament's Event Director to have falsified age or skill level can be dismissed from the tournament. Teams that span more than one age group should register into the division of the oldest, most experienced player on the team.
1-d)
How do I know if my team should play in the Gold or Silver division?
GOLD (Competitive) / SILVER (Recreational) TEAM CLARIFICATION
:
By selecting Gold (Competitive) or Silver (Recreational) during registration, you certify that you understand the Gold / Silver division descriptions listed below:
What is Gold?
The team provides an enjoyable, yet challenging competitive program for the player with advanced skills and greater ambition. Highly competitive state leagues and tournaments are encouraged. Also, out of state travel tournaments are available. For these players, they plan to play competitively in high school, they may have their sights set on college scholarships or obtaining ODP status and beyond.
What is Silver?
The team provides a healthy activity through its recreational and small sided games and programs 3v3, 4v4, 8v8. These programs emphasize fun and de-emphasize winning at all costs. Every player should be guaranteed playing time and the game is taught in a fun and enjoyable environment.
How do I know if my team should play in the Gold or Silver division?
Teams that have at least one player with competitive experience should register in the Gold division. Example: If you have one player with competitive experience you should sign up to play in the Gold division. Generally Gold teams or players play, practice or train 2-3 days or more per week. All other teams and players should register in the Silver division unless the team decides to play at the Gold level.
GENERALLY, IF YOU QUESTION WHICH LEVEL TO PLAY IN, YOU PROBABLY BELONG IN GOLD!
1-e)
Will my team's division change for the Regional and World Championships?
For the 2010 Kick It 3v3 Soccer Tour Season, teams will play in their age divisions for the entire season, including the Regional and World Championships Events. The Kick It Season begins on February 1st and ends on January 31. Kick It abides by the USYSA age classifications but will not be moving teams up a division during the season.
Section 2) REGISTRATION
2-a)
How do I register for an event?
Simply register online by clicking on the "Register Now" button of the tournament page found at
www.KickIt3v3.com
and follow the steps to register, or call Kick It 3v3 Team Services for assistance. Full payment is required for a team to be scheduled into a tournament, and all required paperwork must be signed and received at the Team Check-In, in order for your entire registration process to be complete.
Please visit our website at
www.KickIt3v3.com
to register online.
2-b)

Early registration typically ends the Friday - the week before the event (8 days) - at 11:00 p.m. (CST). Late registration is available and will end the Monday - the week of the event - at 5:00 p.m. (CST). Late charges may apply for late registrations. Once the deadline has passed it is very difficult to add additional teams as the scheduling process will have started. If you have missed the deadline and still wish to register, requests will be evaluated on a per event basis to ensure that adding a late team does not cause a negative impact on those teams that registered on time.
FOR THE KICK IT 3v3 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS EVENT, The registration deadline is:
November 15 - 11:30pm Eastern Standard Time
Late Registrations for the World Championships event will be accepted on a limited, and/or "wait-list" basis through December 1 - A LATE FEE MAY APPLY

2-d)
How do I know my team's registration is complete?
You should receive a confirmation email shortly after registering. You should also receive a "Division Verification" email on the Monday or Tuesday after the deadline, showing your division for the event. IT IS CRITICAL THAT YOU ENSURE YOU HAVE BEEN BRACKETED IN THE CORRECT DIVISION. Scheduling will begin Tuesday afternoon the week of the event, once scheduling has begun, you will not be able to change divisions, and no refunds will be granted. If you have any more questions, please call 888.618.7108 or email
kickit3v3@experiencebest.com
.
Section 3) ROSTERS
3-a) How many players can I have on the roster?
You may carry a maximum of 6 players with a minimum of 3 players. Your team's entry fee is the same regardless of the number of players on team. Once you play your first game, players cannot be added or substituted on your team.
For Regional Championships - at least 2 of the players on the roster for the local qualifying event must be on the roster for the Regional event
For the World Championships - at least 2 of the players on the roster for the regional qualifying event must be on the roster for the World Championships event
3-b) Can I change my roster after I am registered?
Yes you can adjust your roster until the start of your first game, as long as the replacement is able to qualify to play in that division (same or younger age – except for adult over age 30 division – and same or weaker skill level). Roster changes must be done either at the Pre-Event Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up or at the headquarters tent before your first game. Roster changes cannot be made on-line after the registration deadline. All new players must complete a new Official Team Roster Form prior to their first game; otherwise, the team will forfeit games played with the non-registered player prior to the form being completed.
Official Team Roster Forms will be available on the web-site and are available at the headquarters tent during the Team Check-In / Packet Pick-Up.
3-c) Can we change our team name?
Once you register for an event under a team name, it is not advised to change your team name. Changing your team name often causes confusion with the Kick It Rankings System, and therefore we cannot allow team name changes.
